Would you believe it's still school holidays over here in New Zealand? I swear my kids have been off for at least ten weeks and there is still no end in sight! Still, on the plus side, we went to see Monsters versus Aliens the other day, and I'm happy to report that it rocked and I'm even going to go out on a limb and say that I enjoyed it as much as Monsters Inc and Nemo!!!

Anyway, it's been a while since I've been inclined to buy them a DVD since we normally just borrow them from the DVD store but we'll be first in line to get this one when it finally comes out. Awesome!!

I've also been managing to get a bit of writing done in between things, not to mention watching Liverpool play two 4-4 thrillers in one week and while I'm happy we scored lots of goals, I'm not so happy that we leaked so many as well.

In other news I'm over at weloveya talking about my favorite chocolate bar (and how it was cruelly ripped away from me just when I needed it most!). Also, my lovely friend and fellow NZ writer Maree Anderson has her very first arc up for grabs. It's called Even Demons Get the Blues (though it's not a ya, it is a hot steamy one, so only head over if you're over 18 and like them raunchy!!!!)

And now my kids have yet another playdate which means I need to tidy the house (aka throw all the mess into the closet) and get out of my tracksuit pants and into something that makes me look less like a slobby writer and more like a regular person!!!!

Well, I celebrated my grandmother's 76th birthday on Monday, so we had a nice time at lunch with her. Then, I've been catching up on things I recorded on my DVR box, like those cheesy movies on SciFi I haven't watched yet :P

I loved this movie too. Sometimes I felt like I was the only one laughing, but that's okay, because it was hilarious.

Is it possible to be a writer and a normal person? What's your secret?

Hiya, Amanda,
Thanks for plugging my "hot 'n' steamy" Demon ARC, LOL! Typical that the 1st thing I ever get published is not suitable for my kids, huh? Not exactly the sort of thing they can talk about for show and tell at school... Oh well. One day....
Hugs!
